FLOOD RELIEF
Help support families affected by floods in Assam and Bihar
With Brahmaputra and eight other rivers flowing above danger levels, the state of Assam and Bihar were battling two disasters of flood and the pandemic. The situation in the state continued to deteriorate and our help was needed to ensure displaced families get immediate relief.
We supported the affected families with ready to eat food that could support a family of 5 for a week. The kit also included hygiene materials to ensure their safety during this calamity.
Together, we have been able to raise INR 1,20,18,180, which was used to distribute 29,91,345 meals across the affected regions.
How were your donations used?
Each kit (for a family of 5) contained a combination of ready to eat food and ration and costed ₹500. One relief kit helped a family of five with 3 meals a day for a week.
The kits included ration kits, ready to eat packets of food, dry snacks such as Chiddwa (flattened rice), Moori (puffed rice), biscuits, Jaggery, Milk powder, bread and drinking water. Kit composition slightly varied for different cities.
Our volunteer teams on-ground ensured the systematic and responsible distribution of these kits while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
100% of the funds were used in procuring and distributing these kits to affected families. We have disclosed the use of proceeds in a financial transparency report sent to all contributors to the campaign.
Donations made towards this initiative are non-refundable. Receipts will be shared over mail within 10 days from the date of donation for all donations that include valid PAN details.
