Food support for migrant labourers travelling home

With most urban areas locked down, the migrant labour community was forced to try and get back to their hometown using any means of transport that was available.

A large number of these families had started their homebound journeys with no food in their stomach for many days and no means to get them through the journeys.

We provided these people with meal packs and drinking water at transit points in cities to help them through their journeys.

Thank you for your contribution towards Meals For Migrants.

Together, we were able to raise INR 78,87,024, which was used to distribute 25,57,772 meals across the severely affected regions

How were your donations used?

Each meal pack contained a cooked meal for 1 and a bottle of drinking water. Each pack costed ₹50.

We had partnered with multiple local NGOs and volunteers to station meal vans equipped with these meal packs at highways, railway stations and bus stops.

This was a 100% not for profit campaign, and we have disclosed the use of proceeds in a financial transparency report sent to all contributors to the campaign.

Receipts will be shared over mail within 10 days from the date of donation.
