CSR Contribution

Zomato Feeding India ensures that any funds or in-kind donation is used to create maximum impact. Based on the company’s budget and preferred location, we develop projects that can make efficient use of resources to create long-lasting sustainable impact.

Zomato Feeding India believes in proper transparency, governance, monitoring and evaluation of each project. Once the project has begun, we encourage surprise visits by company associates.

The external review is comprehensive covering the financial transparency of the project. We also survey the beneficiaries to identify the ways the centers can be improved to provide them the services/support they need.

Donations tax-exempted as eligible under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961

Employee Engagement Activities

To solve a challenge such as Hunger in India, we need collective action by every individual in the country. Employees can give their time, skills and resources in solving the challenge in their own way.

Zomato Feeding India can help organise and customise volunteer activities for your employees based on various factors such as:

  • Number of employees or volunteers

  • Multiple cities and geographies across India

  • Lead Time

  • Different budgets and costs

  • In-Office or Offsite

Awareness Generation Workshop for Employees

Did you know that one fourth of the world’s undernourished population lives in India – that is three times the population of France! The first step to solving a social issue is to understand the issue. Feeding India invites you to be a part of our endeavour to understand the reality of malnutrition in India and discuss ways you and I can be part of the solution.

Have you been served is an awareness campaign on hunger and malnutrition amongst women and children in India. The objective is to enhance understanding of the issue and enlist campaigns to help address the issue. The campaign works in the way of a session, designed for corporate professionals which has been made interactive and engaging, rather than a one way dialogue.

Nearly 10-20 % of food is dumped in trash from colleges, PG and hostels. Feeding India can help channelise this excess food to underprivileged children and ensure they don’t sleep hungry. Zomato Feeding India manages the collection, transportation, handling, donation and quality of the food.

  • Liability Release: We will also sign a liability release agreement to ensure that the institute is free from all responsibility of the quality of the food.

  • Food Safety and Hygiene: We have food technologists on board who have prepared a checklist (keeping in mind food temperature, texture, odour and other parameters) for us to ensure safety of food we pickup. We perform 2 quality checks on the food: One, while picking up and the other before donating.

  • Beneficiaries: There are communities where food is a luxury for children, who usually get dragged by their parents to go to labor sites and garbage dumps to earn small amounts. Due to improper ID cards and verification, the children cannot get admission into government schools and thus have no other alternative to education. There is little or no motivation for the parents to send the kids to school. Feeding India proactively looks for neglected areas in the city, encourages the parents there to send their children to a nearby small-scale schools and then give them food as a motivation.

  • We request corporates to make donations to us to help cover the logistics costs. Donations tax-exempted as eligible under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961
