Magic Wheels vans are reliable, 24/7 running vehicles, with temperature controlled insulation boxes. They collect food from large and small sources. 83 vans served over 1.1 million meals in October '19.
Through this program, we set up free community fridges in residential and commercial complexes. These fridges provide immediate, anonymous access to food, to those in desperate need, through community intervention. 68 Fridges served approximately 90,000 meals in October '19.
Our volunteers are compassionate citizens driving change within their communities. We have over 24,500 volunteers across 100+ cities in India of which 5,700 were active in the last week of October.
POSHAN TO PAATHSHALA
We institutionalised this program to push for reliable and early access to nutrition for underserved children - by serving meals as an incentive for education. Through this program we served over 13,000 meals in the month of October.
EMERGENCY RELIEF PROGRAMS
In an occurrence of a natural calamity lives are disrupted and many people are forced to leave their homes often living without food, shelter and water. At such times, Feeding India launches ad hoc programs providing food, shelter, water and other basic amenities, to help those in need. This year we've mobilised over 90+ lacs worth of relief material.
