Feeding India is instituting a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for refund of donations as digital payments are becoming more frequent. Feeding India expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. Feeding India also recognizes that a donation may be made erroneously, or donors may change their mind. Feeding India may also consider that a donation is refunded even if not requested by the donor but was essential to be refunded to ensure compliance with provisions of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act ("FCRA Act"), as amended from time to time.

Feeding India will examine each request for refund of donation and endeavours to make the refund. Feeding India may also seek further information / documents and donors must co-operate in this regard.

However, Feeding India is not obliged to make refunds and may, in its discretion, decline any requests for refund of donations, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has been issued.

If you would like your donation to Feeding India to be refunded:

You must request Feeding India in writing or by email for a refund at compliance@feedingindia.org and your request must reach Feeding India within 7 (Seven) working days within the same financial year from the date on which you made the online transfer of the donation.

Foreign donations may require more working days for processing the refund.

The written request stating reason for requesting refund must be sent to the address stated below and must contain all the following details pertaining to the donation: 1) Date of Donation, 2) Donation amount, 3) Please provide receipt ID and transaction reference number for donations made online 4) Photocopy of PAN card

All donation refund would only be made in the name of the person who has made the donation.

Certain types of donations may be non-refundable. This includes donations made towards specific projects, campaigns, or events where it is explicitly stated that the donation is non-refundable.

Feeding India shall refund the donated amount if it is not utilized for the purpose for which the donation was made.

The decision to refund will be made by the finance team on review of the application. All decisions of Feeding India in this regard will be final and binding on the donor.

The refund process may take time from 7 to 30 working days (Foreign donations may require more working days for processing the refund) depending on the availability of the information from third parties such as Payment gateway, banks, etc. through which the transaction is done.

Feeding India reserve the right to modify or amend this refund policy at any time. Any changes to the policy will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on our official website.
