How It Works
All the relief material is distributed on ground by Zomato Feeding India volunteers or through our partner agencies
Each food relief packet contains rice, pulses, ingredients and vitamins, and can serve a family of four
This year the team has already spent INR 90 lakh and has mobilised over 9 lakh meals plus other relief materials, supporting ~12000 families across Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Punjab and Maharashtra.
In May 2015, Zomato Feeding India sent relief materials to Nepal earthquake victims via Embassy of Nepal, Delhi. Central Delhi and Gurgaon Hunger Heroes conducted various donation camps witnessing people donating in large numbers including food, medicines and clothing. 50,000+ medicines and 40,000+ dry food packets and blankets were donated to the Nepal Earthquake victims.
In September 2014, Zomato Feeding India collected & sent relief supplies for the flood victims in Kashmir. On each donation drive the instalment weighed around 55.5kgs which were transported in flights everyday to Srinagar. People from across Delhi came together to donate materials like clothes, medicines, food and survival kits in large numbers!
In August 2018, Zomato Feeding India collected and distributed relief materials to the victims of Kerela floods. Hunger Heroes in Kochi worked on ground in various affected areas helping people in need with aid. Relief materials delivered to Chengannur were even sent in a helicopter from their military base to neighbouring villages.
